Only if Einstein was still alive today.........

User Rating: 8.5 | TimeShift PS3
Timeshift is one of those games that comes along and some people either take the dive and get the game and actually play it, or just walk past it. Part of this is due to the cover art and the summary on the back that doesn't really allude to much.

For those who actually play the game will find that under the surface it is actually very good and plays well. The time powers work well in the game and can take some getting use to.

Now onto the review.

The game puts you in control of an opperative who is tasked with stopping Krone who has stolen the Alpha suit. The second suit called beta is the one you wear. The three time powers it has are time reverse, time stop or pause and time slow. When in "time" mode everything on screen moves at any one of those powers while you as the player still remains in "normal" time. It can be quite funny at times, when a bad guy sees you and you pause time, then run away. You will actually hear them say "hey where did he go?"

It is also one game that offers you the ability to drive some vehicles one of those being a quad bike. Which adds some variety to things. The quad bikes are really only used to traverse open areas quickly, you can use them to run over people as well of course.

Graphics are amongst the best I have seen on the ps3. 10/10 on this. Much better than haze.

Sound is also done very well, including the idle of the quad bikes engine when you are standing next to it. When you get on it, it gets louder. Also the way the guns fire and reload etc is good too. 10/10

Storyline is done in some odd ways at the start as the suit malfunctions once and you are sent to a different location but within the same time frame. There are some excellent level designs as well throughout the game. One of the best is the city levels, you see upturned roads with all the pipes etc exposed, construction sites and traversing through multiple buildings while being shot at by a sentry mech bot.
