The best golf game to date, Tiger Woods 10 does not disappoint
The Tiger Woods series has always had great customization options for your golfer and PGA Tour 10 definitely stays true to the series with sliders for each characteristic on the face to make big or small; skinny or fat. If you don't want to take the time to customize yourself you can always use the photo game face to import a picture in the game to reflect your likeness in the game. Clothing, accessories, clubs and balls can be bought from the Pro Shop to customize your golfer more and also adding points to your stats that boost your players' power, accuracy, short game and putting. There are many choices to choose from even the CEC Mining Hazard suit from Deadspace or a ninja suit if you truly want to golf in style. Club Tuner let's you customize each golf club to meet what you want, more power or more control on the ball, more spin, less spin but for newcomers it may seem confusing but depending on how you play there will be a coach's recommendation to help if you aren't ready to make your own choices for your clubs.
There are plenty of courses to play through on the Tour and plenty of courses that will make you want to throw your virtual club into the river (all eyes on Bethpage). Other than playing through the PGA Tour there are Tournament Challenges to play through that retell golf classics and let you play with the pro and testing your skills against there's. Multiplayer mode has plenty of game modes to choose from to play against or with your friends: farthest drive contests, closest to pin contests, match play, best ball and battle golf just to name a few.
Online is where Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 really shines. Post your best scores on leaderboards to see how you fare against everyone else at Palm Springs. Play with the Pros lets you play alongside the Pros when an actual game is on television; updating scores real time letting you see how you're doing against the Pros. Even if you aren't posting anything online or playing online Tiger Woods still gives you golf updates and using the Live Weather Feed lets players golf when it's actually raining in real life at their favorite course.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is a great golf game for anyone new or old to the series. Even if the tournament begins to bore you after awhile there are plenty of modes to choose and play from as long as you can withstand the over-talkative announcer Scott Van Pelt.
Pros: Easy controls, Precision Putter makes putting much easier, variety of courses, custom player highly customizable, online features are excellent
Cons: Scott Van Pelt, Club Tuner may be confusing for newcomers, random weather seems to mean rain.
