Tiger Woods 99 has confusing, difficult game play that will frustrate everyone.
Presentation - The options and modes are available in the single and multiplayer modes in Tight Woods 99 are a number of holes being played, Mulligans, Skins game, weather effects, tour play, tournament, shoot-out, and practice mode.
Graphics - The graphics are not very good because the characters, trees, and environments are very flat and two dimensional. Also, as noted on IGN, the frame fate isn't smooth. Even Tiger Woods doesn't look very good when you glance at him because his face doesn't appear clear enough.
Sound - There are an array of pop tracks such as Block Rockin' beats from the Chemical Brothers which still sound good. Like Mario Golf Toadstool Tour, you can also taunt your opponents with saying "Fore", "That was Lucky", and many more. However, the sound effects are pretty weak.
Game play - As I said earlier in my review, the difficult game play brings down most of the experience. There is a special meter that lets you know how much power you are adding to your shots, but the interface is still confusing because you don't really know exactly how much power you actually need to place. As a result, the ball ends up flying way too far and I have a tendency to hit the bunkers a lot. This makes the game quite frustrating because it's difficult to land pars and I end up scoring a lot of bogeys. It also takes much longer just to score a round.
Lasting appeal - The variety of modes will appeal to an average golfer, but the confusing game play makes this game even more difficult to recommend. I suggest playing Wii Sports and Resort for a realistic golf experience.
The Good - a variety of modes, decent selection of tracks
