Man, why does games based on movies suck? It seems simple to do. But in some way they just keep screwing up. Like Thor does. Thor: God of Thunder is a disaster! And its up there with one of worst games i've seem in a LONG time.
PROS: The time you've spend not playing it. Its actually pretty lengthy, probably due to its insane difficulty.
CONS: Gameplay is Tedious, and Boring! The Camera is Terrible. The Graphics are terribly outdated and uninspiring. The difficulty is insane, making the game longer and harder to play thru. Sound Effects sucks. Frame Rate, Freezing, and Glitching issues. Laughable Voice acting. Very Shallow Story. Anti-Climatic Bosses.
But first, let's start with the movie...Thor was alright, nothing spectacular, but it was alright. The cinematography was alright, there were some memorable moments. My biggest complaint with the film is that with a movie about Thor, there wasn't really that much Thor in it.

This game should've been illegal to make. Thor is an absolute bore to play thru. Not only is it boring. But all the crap you have to go thru in the game from beginning to end is boring. The game had a lot of trouble working, first of all, Freezing, Frame rate issues, and glitching, which makes NO sense. Because The graphics are incredibly outdated. Almost Gamecube like. This is 2011, not 2002 people! Hello! Not only are they outdated, they look uninspiring, un-unique, and basic. Nothing new nor cool at all!
There is no story at all, there maybe one, but its poorly told. Shallow. The voice-acting are just downright laughable. Its like the voice-actors said, "Ok, lets make this as laughable as we can, and just pathetically line it up with stupid dialogue."
The game is actually lengthy, around 6-8 hours. Mostly because the game is a GUILLOTINE! Thats right, its difficult as hell. Because of a god-forsaken camera, it maybe a fixed camera, like God of War. BUT... like any other God of War clone...it fails in every aspect. And not only is it hard to get use to the camera. Its also hard to get use to move in the game too, Making the game completely unfair! The controls are absolutely, completely broken! Its not like the gameplay is bad, no, its not bad. Its absolutely god-awful in every single way. Its tedious, repetitive, and absolutely BORING!
I'm trying to think one thing up that this game does well. Hmm... oh the time you spend NOT playing it. Litterally, i think of any. I've seen some slaps in the faces in my day, but this isn't a slap. no, This is a slap to the face then kicked in the nuts, just to laugh as they take our 60 bucks. I can only hope that not too many people were suckered into this game. Because Thor is an absolute bore, and if you bought this for $60, I pity you.
