It's much better than the official reviews want to make believe us. It doesn't have the atmosphere of the original Thief, which is a classic, but it's still a great game for a new generation of thieves. What made the original games so great was the mystic storyline and the strong characters. I still remember the awesome opener and the driving music of the first installment of the series. You just wanted to know more about this universe. I think these strong memories of many is the reason for some bitterness in thr reviews. This game definately doesn't deserve it. It's good on its own and for many that never played the original, this is a fresh experience. I hope the game sells well and we will see new and even better following games set in this steampunk setting
