The Stanley Parable is a very hard game to review, almost anything I say could become a spoiler, so I need to be very careful with wording!
The game is about you following the story of a guy named Stanley. The game revolves around exploration and decision making in ways no other game has done before. Stanley finds that all of his coworkers have disappeared, so he decides he needs to find them.
As you discover more about the World Stanley is in, you know less and less about what is going on, and something else changes. This game will mess with your head, and question and doubt yourself often. Just when you think you understand the game, it will throw in an unexpected twist, just to put you completely off balance.
Graphically, the game won't win any awards, however it has a very consistent and pleasing art style nonetheless. The Stanley Parable also has superb narration, often breaking the 4th wall, or making you laugh out loud as you listen to the brilliant voice acting that ties the story together and pushes you ever onward.
I found the Stanley Parable a huge breath of fresh air in an ever full gaming market, it is very fun to play and entertaining too. Though the game itself appears short, there is an incredible amount of replay value. If you enjoy unique experiences of games, you must try this game!
