Just like The Sims first release - this game is highly addictive and a lot of fun. Time to spice up your Sims' lives.
I lended this game to someone and never got it back. Probably because this game is like an addictive drug.
In every way that The Sims was successful - Hot Date expanded on it. The downtown area was cool and finally your Sim was able to get out of the house and stop looking forward to mailman interactions.
While the game is still stunted from how time progresses (WAY too fast) it added a whole new dimension to the series.
This, to me, was the only expansion worth buying. While the other expansions seemed thin and boring - this one was deep and entertaining.
Basically if you loved the first version of the Sims this game is the expansion pack for you - I'm not sure how high I can rate an expansion pack but as far as what it intended to do - it was right on.
