A game that just can't decide what it wants to be.

The concerpt itself is a interesting one however its very poorly implemented.

The Game itself just can't seem to decide what it wants to be, apart from the green diamond and the speech its not the Sims in much of any fashion at all, and its not a RPG despite all the quests.

Its not a 4x game either desipte the washy build your kingdom, its not really any of these it just can't make its mind up where the design of the game should be.

There none of the diverse gameplay of the sims just a very narrow linear quests, which aren't particular hard but drag on like hell, mainly as you have to walk everywhere which takes decades to get where your going which just makes the game drag and drag, it doesn't give your character a horse or anything to speed this up either, or even make your sim run to a destination.

It doesn't stop there either sadly, those that are familiar to the sims series are going to be a little miffed when it comes to building, because there isn't any, you can't modify the landscape nor any of the premade buildings which is a bit of a problem. As it doesn't allow the player to customise them to themselves nor fix the problem that many of them are simply too damn small, especially as you can get married and have kids, problem is that your home is also your workplace and more often than not you have a hard job fitting the adults in never mind extra beds for the kiddies.

Though the ability to have kids and send them off down the shops is realistic. :)

In fact its as much the Sims as super mario cart is to a F1 racing simulator, it doesn't do anything well at all and is a complete mismash of different things none of which are done very or implemented well at all.

There's little to make you want to keep playing this one unlike the sims and the game plays like sheer drudgery.

The 'Sims' are also very unresposive when issued commands and can take a minute or two to do what you asked making you think its not worked.

No doubt someone will like it though I'm pretty sure its not going to be the mainstream Sim fan.

Personally I would sugest skipping this one or wait till its at the bottom of the budget bin.

Kinda sad really as many I was looking forward to the concept sadly its not remotely delivered.

It seems several of EA's latest outtings have taken a bizzare design turn for the worse (Lets forget this design has been a mass hit for 20 years and lets do it different.) this being another one of them.
