The Sims 3 lets you do everything you could do in the previous game, much much more.

The Sims 3 lets you do all of the things you could do and wished you could do in The Sims 2.

For starters, the build feature has been improved to the point where you can literally customize everything from the bricks in the walls to the tiles on the floor.

The build feature is not the only thing that has been improved though. When you are furnishing your house, you can make each piece of furniture your own by changing the design, material and color.

One downside to the game is the lack of options you have when creating your Sim. You can customize everything down to the root of your Sim's hair, but there is not much to customize.

One upside to the game is the amount of psychological customization there is. You can choose many different likes and dislikes such as a favorite food and color. You can also make your Sim snobby, a genius, a villain, lucky, nerdy, or downright insane. All of those traits help narrow down your lifetime want. This can be anything from a gold digger to a world leader.

Once you are playing the game you will find that the neighborhood contains neighbors you can be neighborly with. In the previous Sims games you had to travel somewhere or call up a friend if you wanted to see them. Now, you can just walk, jog, drive or bike down the street and talk to anybody you want with absolutely no loading screen.

There are many more jobs to work for too. You can try and become a world leader, an astronaut, a mob boss or the next music phenomenon.

One thing you can expect for The Sims 3 is a number of expansion packs, because this game lacks pets, apartments and a few other things The Sims 2 lacked.

Over all The Sims 3 is an outstanding game and has actually improved the Sims franchise.

If you make the smart decision to purchase the game, make sure you don't have to purchase a new computer to run it.
