Sims 2: Not that bad in reality.

User Rating: 7 | The Sims 2 DS
Lately, the DS games released have been a joke. It has turned into a system for kids. Yet the Sims 2 (older title, yes) game was an addictive, relaxed, first person take on the enormously growing series. Quirky story plot as a local hotel owner/manager, you can go around talking to guests, upgrading your rooms or even cleaning with the various tools you get along in the game. But hanging out at your hotel playing maid isn't the only thing Sims 2 allows you to do. You also have the town. Though, there isn't much to it, the town serves its now-and-then purposes. You have your set goals and missions and all that as well. A fun component missing in the normal Sims games are the childishly entertaining mini-games you can earn for some cash. The only way to make money is to sell the garbage you pick up, the stuff you dig out in the desert, or what the guests leave you from their stay. Yet you make lots of cash this way, and you can spend it on additional rooms for your guests, or a casino, art gallery, or many more misc rooms. The game is also set up in normal time, which means that you have to play the next day to check out your guests, clean up the rooms, etc. This is both good and bad for the player. Good: Gives you a reason to keep playing. To make more money to upgrade rooms and to finish more goals in the story plot. Bad: If you don't continue playing the game, your hotel is dirty, out of power, and you have no guests, or the guests you have are neglected and pissed off.

Like any game, it has its flaws or glitches, bad points or just overall "WTF?" moments. Yet, I really enjoyed the game for its good time consuming tasks, ridiculous characters, and overall fun gameplay.
