The first role-playing video game in the The Lord of the Rings franchise. Well, not bad.

I am a big LotR fan, so I was really excited about this game. Did it deliver? Well, to a certain extent, yes.
You have three playable characters:Eredan, the Dunadan Ranger; Farin, the Dwarf Champion of Erebor and Andriel, a Lore-master of Rivendell. These classes resemble the classic rogue, warrior and mage.
The game play is nothing out of the ordinary from your usual RPG. You choose one of the three characters to play with and the other two will help you throughout your missions. There are numerous side quests and a couple of challenge missions you can pick up along the way. The story of the game is pretty interesting, but doesn't really offer that much. A dark antagonist, the so called right hand of Sauron, called Agandaur. Basically, you learn that he is responsible for the upcoming war in the north and is leading the troops of Sauron in his quest to conquer all of Middle-Earth.
You do meet a lot of the characters from the LotR lore. You can meet characters from the films like Aragorn, Legolas, Frodo, Gimli, Bilbo, Arwen, Gandalf and Elrond, but characters that were not in the movies like Halbarad or Radagast.
The difficulty of the game is not that high, so if you want some sort of a challenge, play the game at normal.
This is a game you have to play a couple of times because there are so many ways to play your characters. You have talent trees for all of them. For example if you choose Eradan, the Ranger, the basis of your combat can range from powerful attacks with your two-handed sword to cunning strikes with your bow or to tricky stealth maneuvers.
You really enjoy your interaction with the other characters and the ambience of the game.
In conclusion, not a bad game. Actually, I can almost call it a good one!
