pretty good for a movie game! worth a shot for sure if you're a tolkien fan, or even like hack'n slash RPGs
those usually don't do well. this isn't usual! it did quite well!
you will find the gameplay a tad like devil may cry (go level through level slashing through enemies and upgrading characters >_>)
it's got a nice combo system and steady controls. there are some features such as countering that fit right into the game, and the physics make you feel perfectly immersed into the environment.
while having all the gameplay advantages, it still manages to maintain graphical and storyline stuff. the story nicely follows the plot of LOTR.
it also has parts from fellowship of the ring included, in addition to the two towers story.
the way the game is played, is that you get several characters, and you go through levels, and eventually, you can unlock stuff such as actor interviews, and bonus levels as well.
once you beat the game, you gain access to cheats, which they give you the codes for at the end of the game; they won't work until you beat the game anyway!
but if you're a hack n' slash nooby, don't worry, the game is very quick to become adjusted to! in a few weeks, you'll feel like you can take on the world ^_^
but if that gets boring, you can take on the world with a buddy! yes, there is co-op.
it has a few issues down the line, but are easy to ignore and just play around. (mostly camera issues, but meh)
just like DMC, you get some stuff at the end of the level to buy new abilities for your chracters! and it also has a level up system. this makes it like a total hack n slash RPG!
so, get the game if you like the LotR series, or just games of the style, either way, you'll like it guaranteed!
