Worth playing if your're a fan of the LOTR series I spose.....

Having never read the books or watched the movies I had nothing to really compare it to and I never had a clue where the plot was going either. I found it really boring and at times extremely difficult and frustrating, just simply finding myself button mashing trying to create random cool combos to eliminate hoards of enemies! By the time you finish a session your thumbs will be killing! This game just isn't that great really.

Even though the game wasn't really for me, there are good points it. The visuals of the fight and battle scenes are quite good and actually watching the gameplay in motion is impressive too. I like the way too you have a choice of three characters of whom you can use alternately (Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli) The more you play out levels with these characters the more you build up their levels, meaning you acquire more abilities to use in combos, which is cool. As each of the three characters have different skills and weaponary you will find them invaluable to certain boss levels. Apart from that this game is probably only guranteed to be enjoyed by existing fans.
