A must buy for all Lord of the Rings fans, however may not particularly amaze others.

Lord of the Rings: Two Towers

This is the second game in the exciting three part series. This series is unique since the Two Towers turned out to have a mixture of the Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers itself. This will be confusing for people who just started playing the game.

You start off as Isildur at the feet of Mount Doom; this is the prologue to the game and movie. Which I am sure most people who play this game have seen at least once. You will then decide before each level to play as Aragorn, Legolas or Gimli. The two characters you decided not to be will be by your side throughout the game; there are very few levels where you must venture off alone.

Each character has upgradable weapons or armour. You do this by gaining points off enemies, kill them and you will get points. The better kill the better points; there are four rankings that appear after every kill: Fair, Good, Excellent and Perfect. Obviously you will get more points if you get a better rank. After each level you will get an overall rank, this rank adds to most of your score. After finding how many points you have gained you may buy special upgrades, thus making your character stronger. Your characters will also have experience points which will take your character to a higher level of skill.

The controls are very good; however you will be incapable to jump. This limits the game a bit, meaning you can't really wonder off the specified track. The graphics and level design are great for PS2 standards; they don't have too many problems.

This game is highly enjoyable; however I feel that this game was designed for particularly Lord of the Rings fans. Meaning it won't be that amazing to people who like the series, but isn't a fan. However this is a must buy for anyone who is remotely into the movies.

I rate this game an 8.0
