One of the best Zelda games to date

User Rating: 9.7 | The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess GC
Arguing over which Zelda game is the best would take forever and never be resolved. So rather than compare this to other games, I'd rather simply state the reasons why this game should be purchased Note: while I do not own the Wii version, several of my friends do and I have played it there, not the whole game, but enough to fully understand the controls as in comparison

Gameplay: 10
Overall, the controls are tight and rarely cause problems. as in comparison to the Wii, The Wii's fishing is more intersting as well as aiming the bow and arrow, boomerang, etc., but in the GCN version, the C-Stick gives gives far more absolute control over the camera (versus only being able to centre it behind you in Wii) and the spin attacks require no charge. Pulling off certain combos is also far easier than in the Wii version. The controls and the camera are both easy to wield (even overall so in the Wii version) and I found few glitches to avert anyone away from either the Wii or GCN versions. Also, the little fairy on the Wii version (which shows where your wiimote is curently pointed at on screen), I found to be overall annoying after a while (necessary, yes, but annoying all the same). The fairy doesn't need to exist in the GCN, so I found that to be overall more enjoyably without the fairy.

Graphics: 9
A few bland areas, but nothing bad by all means. The graphics could also be a little headache enducing in the Twilight Zones and even a little hard to see things at times as a result. The graphics will in no way subtract from the game however and most small things can be overlooked. The characteres all look great, wether in spirit or actual form.

Sound: 10
That stupid Ooccoo song is somewhat stuck in my head, and some other songs too/ the score for the game is well written and played out, adding to each scene. Sound Effects as well are all on target, sometimes going along with rumble, and overall helps to make the game immersive.

Value: 9
The value is a 9, smply becaues a few evil glitches that I honestly beleive should have been worked out within that extra year, and not minor glitches either, but major ones that would force you to start an entirely new game (like forcing you to the wrong side of a destroyed bridge or an invisible man which prevents Midna from *spoiler* tranforming you into a wolf to teleport *spoiler end*) The dungeons themselves aare also well designed, forcing you to think, but not the point of utter frustration. Many of the tools themselves can be fun to use at times (although admittantly more fun at time on the Wii) It very difficult to not reccomend a game this good. There are also plently of extra things for the perfectionist, such as the 60 poe souls, the golden bugs, the secret armour, and, of course, the heart pieces (which have increased from 4 to 5 for a full container).

My Tilt: 10
At the end of the GCN gaming life (meaning no more notable games coming out on a system that needs its 1st party games majorly), Zelda is a good way to go out (even though i do get the feeling they tried to hide it for GCN with the Wii coming out 2 weeks before to up Wii sales). Even as such, I am glad they released it for the GCN as well (like I could find a Wii right when they came out anyways, still looking for one, heh). I would reccomend people to buy a GCN (assumnig they don't have a Wii) just to play this game itself (and some others...) The game itself is long enough for people to not lose interest (i got around 30 hours) with enough extras for the perfectionist that no one could possibly be sad playing this game. Go, get it, now, if you don't alreayd have it!!
