Awesome classics collection!
The game combines 4 games, 2 movies and 1 game demo into an immersive experience. The first game on the disc is The Legend of Zelda. This is where the series began back in the late 80's on the NES. This is a perfect port from the origional Zelda game. As Link you must collect the 8 fragmented pieces of the triforce and rescue Princess Zelda from the evil Gannon. Along the way there are many dungeons, monsters, puzzles and secrets to discover. The port even includes the second quest accesable by entering ZELDA as your name. All the dungeons are moved around in this quest.
The next game is The Legend of Zelda The Adventure of Link. This game is a dirrect sequel to the origional Zelda game, and was also released for the NES. In this game Link travels to northern Hyrule and is on a quest to awaken the original Princess Zelda. This game is more of a platform game with some RPG elements such as leveling up. This game also introduced te use of magic into the Zelda series. Over all I feel this is the worst Zelda title made by Nintendo. Its just very different from the origional and the other top down view Zelda games.
The third game is The Legend of Zelda The Ocarina of Time. This game was released in 1998 for N64 and is still considered the greatest game ever made by many people. This is one of the earliest Zelda games in the timeline. This game basically has two parts, young and old Link. Young Link is cosen to be the savior of the land. Navi guides Link through 3 dungeons to gather 3 stones that are needed to enter the temple time and claim the Master Sword. When Link plays his Ocarina with the 3 stones in place he must wait 7 years before he can use this sword. During this time a new evil lord Ganondorf takes over and destroys much of Hyrule. As an adult Link must gather 6 medallions to enter Ganondorf's castle to seal im away forever. Zelda warps Link to the past so that he can live his childhood. Meanwhile Adult Zelda is left without Link and is with the sealed Ganondorf.
The last game is The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. This game was released for the N64 in 2000. Link is in search of Navi and is turned into a Deku Scrub by Skull Kid. Link finds his way into a parallel world called Termina. Link must get the Majora's Mask from Skull Kid, in which it is controlling his actions.. At the same time you only have 3 days to play, or else the Moon will fall and crush the town of Clock Town. Thankfully you can go back in time by 3 days to prevent this and set everything back on the time based events. There are many masks in this game that do different things. 5 of these change Links appearance and give him new abbilities and weapons. Once Link has collected the 4 masks from the 4 dungeon bosses he can call upon four gods to push the Moon back up and face Skull Kid in battle.
The 2 movies in the game include a retrospective video. The video shows clips of all the past Zelda games that have been made. The second is a Wind Waker video. This is basically a trailer for the game that was released in 2003.
The demo in the game is a demo of The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker. There are 3 levels in the demo, in which you can only play for 20 minutes of each level at a time.
Sometimes the game may freeze because of porting the cartridge games to a Game Cube disc
Overall feel this is a must own for Zelda fans, and for anyone who missed out on these 4 great game experiences.
