The Legend of the Mystical Ninja is one of those games that very few people played, and missed out on a good one. You play the role of Goemon Gameplay: 8/10 This is a typical platform style game that is fairly action driven. Your success is not dependant on strategy or decisions... but more on reaction. The enemies are pretty standard as well. But what makes this game stand out is that there are a lot of extras on the side that depart from standard gameplay and make things interesting. The game overall is not very difficult. Graphics: 6/10 The graphics are not very impressive, but they are sufficient. The only major bonus in this game is that unlike many action based snes games, there is no slow down in the graphic rendering when the scenes get busy. The anime style coloring and drawing keeps the rest of the game interesting. Sound: 6/10 The sound effects and music are not to die for. They are not very catchy, which could be a good or bad thing. Reviewer's Tilt: 8/10 This is a very fun action game that appears conventional at first glance. But is really much better than the average game. Despite the average sound and graphics, the gameplay and variability make up for it. There is enough humor and off beat stuff to keep this very entertaining. Thums up.
