Bad Controls, Decent Graphics, Too Difficult, Bad Game.
The story is a typical Ninja story, in which you play a lead character whom is currently at low status. You work your way up but passing through levels and killing enemy ninjas, ultimately leading up to you fighting the boss, leader of the clan, or whatever. The point is, it is very anti-narrative, as in, it has no straight forward story, and it is BORING. Bland. Down the hole. I hated it, and with every character too! Every character has there own painfully similar story, and it gets worse. Much worse. Just listen to what I have to say next.
I think I would have no problem with the boss battles if they were more fair. They mercilessly lash at you, and given that you have low health, you literally have to do the same exact thing. Some of the bosses are somewhat inspired, yet we have seen many of the princesses, giant spiders, and fire breathing old men, before.
This game is ridiculously hard. In a bad way. I mean, a game can be challenging, but this is ridiculous! I mean, you have one weapon, some crappy moves, low health, and you get your butt whooped, all because of a bad game!
This game has overall bad music. Typical Japanese, Chinese, whatever! music. Well, I mean Ninja music at least. There is a way to make music such as this good, but The Legend of Kage clearly doesn't do it right.
This game looks decent. It has pixel reliant graphics. I like sprites, but these sprites are uninspired and ugly. At least for the most part. Bosses look OK. Areas look TERRIBLE!!
This is one game to truly avoid. I say, do not play it whatsoever.
