Most gaming pugilists have followed fighting games all since the inception of their interest in them. I've always loved them and have always followed them closely in all their incarnations. I would say I'm a Fan Boy of the "Genre". With that said I am sorely disappointed in SNK. I feel like I'm playing a half finished product, no story mode, no bosses, no Mai!!

This neutered edition of King of Fighters could have been so much more, the fighting system is a great step in refreshing the series with counters and guard crushes, aerial juggles, which intertwine into new and refreshing strategies to defeat your opponents. With that said it saddened me to discover the lack of stages, characters for a 3v3 fighter, and online mode is absolutely unplayable (even after a 700mb+ patch for ps3) can I have my money back now. I have a feeling (or unfounded hope) that SNK just may save the day with DLC which adds bosses, story, and of course more characters, and I'll probably pay for it. Which is absurd given I've already dished out $60 for a xbox live/psn quality title.

I'd recommend Blazblue and SF4 over this title any day. Sucks to be an optimist, I was really hoping for something special with KOF XIII. Oh well back to BlazBlue.
