Do yourself a favor and get this game, cause you will need id if you like 2D Fighting.

This KoF is the first one that blew my mind simply by being uncomparable to the other episodes. This time SNK did such a good job in the games design by putting big effort in letting it look like a new piece of japanese POP-Art. The Music is great and much, much, MUCH better than in any other KoF. But still every detail of these improvements deliver the conclusion that you are playing The King of Fighters.

After a few minutes of gamplay youll feel right home with all your favorite characters and the known Gamplay modes. But soon you'll get to notice that you will still learn new sides about your familliar characters, cause nearly everyone has changed and learned new moves.
The story in the arcade mode is very good despite of Magaki who will kick your butt for a few times, still he is beatable even if you have to use the continue services. I also like him because he reminds me of Orochi who is my favorite boss.
The whole idea of returning the Orochi Saga within Ash's Saga is a very good idea while of the Fans will be more than satisfied with this plan.
Atomiswave was such a good deal for SNK after all theese years of NEO GEO and it didnt change the feeling of KoF being the game that you know since then.

In the end you have a great game with much to discover and lots of ways to spend many hours that will leave certainly a smile on your face.
