The somewhat satisfying action of this title is no match for its disappointments

When you hear the term "light gun shooter", one can't help but think back to the days where one would visit an arcade, with pockets full of quarters, ready to take on any shooter it offered. When companies began to offer arcade shooters for consoles, many of us rejoiced, including myself. I loved games like Time Crisis 4 and Target Terror and looked forward to buying said games for my consoles. While I'm still waiting for "Time Crisis Razing Storm"'s price to go down, I picked up this title ecstatic to see what the end experience would be. Unfortunately, it's a disappointing one.

I only bought this game a few days, and after finishing it, I had found myself content to get rid of it. While I enjoyed the action from time to time, the overall experience is one of frustration and boredom. I've played more poorly made light fun shooters that were more fun than this (Target Terror, which was so bad it was good). After playing through, I don't even understand the story. Something about two guys named Agent G and Washington after a madman. While I enjoy a grind-house experience as much as anyone, I still expect the studio to try and make it work well for the viewers. Yet, SEGA didn't try all that hard with this product, giving me a game that forced me to replay a level after I finished it because it suffered a major glitch. The graphics are unimpressive, the story's dull, and the goofiness it tries so hard to put out there ends up comes off as irritating. Were some of the bosses fun? Yes, was the change in pace from COD shooters fun? Yes, was it worth my $15, NO. I traded in to Amazon.com, and supposedly they're going to give me $10 back (The best deal I could find). There's really not a whole lot to say about this game. There are a lot better shooters out there, light gun or not, and the average PS3 owner should;d just buy another one instead; hopefully Time Crisis: Razing Storm will fix this bad taste in my mouth left behind by such a disappointing experience.

Graphics: Considering its a Wii port, I'm not surprised they're not that impressive. Yet, with lousy facial match up with voice overs and hair clipping shoulders, the graphics are just laughable

Gameplay: Solid for the most part, Move works well and you kill zombies. At least that part they got right

Sound: Music is actually pretty awesome, adding chills and humor to the mix, so long as you can bear through occasional sound fallouts

Story:
It's meant to be poorly written and cheesy, but these guys somehow overdo it to the point of irritation

Replay Value:
LOW. Not much reason to come back to it, traded it in after only a few days.

Final Verdict:
If you're for some reason desperate to play this game, rent it. Maybe you'll have more fun with it with a friend. Unfortunately, I found this to be an overall average and forgettable experience. It did some things right, but mostly did things wrong, leading me to just trade it in and hopefully use the earnings to buy something more worthwhile.
