The Grinch, though faulty, is a fun game to play... don't get me wrong.

User Rating: 7.5 | The Grinch PS
Smashing presents, collecting blueprints and sabotaging the Who's merriment cannot be better. The Grinch is a fun and intuitive game, however bugged and plagued with graphic problems. The main goal of the game is to complete missions to ruin the Who's Christmas.Let's start out with the bad parts first. Some of the missions are fun and funny (firing rotten eggs into who's houses, replacing candles on a cake with fireworks, etc) and are well thought out. Some are just boring however, like shutting down a power plant which takes roughly 30 minutes. Some of the bugs are really bad, including popup and slowdown when behind the Grinch. Some blueprint pieces (collected and assembled to build neat gadgets) and presents are notoriously hard to find, and some puzzles are so taxing and underexplained you will constantly resort to online guides. The gadgets are neat, but some are frustrating to use and use lots of rotten eggs, which are your fuel for gadgets. Since you can only carry 200, gadgets that consume alot are neglected alot. The Slime Shooter, for example, uses 7 eggs to fire a tiny ball of goop. Some, like the Rotten Egg Launcher, however, only use 1 and are more efficient and useful. Now, you might think The Grinch is a bad game, and you're wonering why I gave it a 7.5. Where The Grinch triumphs is in its fun factor. The game is addicting and fun, and there's 2 great gadgets in particular, The Grinch Copter (which allows you to fly) and the Marine Mobile (a submarine used to visit a whole new area and is fun to drive) give the game a fun twist, and though the blueprints are hard to come by, they add alot to The grinchy experience. In all, The Grinch is so fun to play, it cancels out most of the problems. The Mean One has delivered a great game.
