User Rating: 5 | The Godfather II PC
Ever wanted to be part of the family? Well now's your chance. The Godfather 2 is the sequel to the infamous, Godfather. The game hit PC, 360, and PS3. The game isn't as good as it portrays itself the trailers. Read this review to find out. I'm sure we'll change your views on this game.

The story places you as a guy named Dominick. You're quickly promoted to a Don in the corleon family after the family's failures in Cuba, everyone turned on each other. That's where you come into play; your job is to unite every venue and compound under the Corleons'. The story is relatively simple, you were betrayed, and you must unite. I beat the game in about 4-5 hours, so it isn't long. The game play is still based off of the first Godfather. Capture venues, and your enemy captures them back. Though this time, venues have a bigger purpose than just money. Venue rings offer things like Bullet Proof vests, incendiary ammo, and much more. Loose just one of the venues in this ring, and the reward disappears. You now have to pay for guards, instead of them guarding for free. There are still things like, bribing cops/citizens, doing favors off the streets, etc. As I played, I thought the game was very boring. Yet it was somehow addicting. Every time I left the game, I just thought about getting back on! The driving posed an issue, and it was very unrealistic and the crashing was just poorly done. The family system is added as well. Now you can recruit your own family members each with their own abilities. Safecracking, demolitions, etc. As you upgrade your family members, they can be promoted to, Capo, or Underboss, these promotions will strengthen your men, and earn them a new ability. You can also send in your family members to help your guards when your venues are under attack. This system was pretty well done. Overall the story is easy and simple, the game play is very repetitive to the first Godfather, but adds some new things.

Now let's move on to graphics. There's not much to say. They have only made a slight change from the first Godfather, which came out on the original Xbox, and PS2. The fire is exactly the same with no change at all. The unit details are a bit different, which is a good thing. But if you want real graphics, wait for Mafia 2. Overall the graphics aren't the greatest thing in the world, but you can't complain, graphics don't make a game.

Now the multiplayer. The online is pretty fun, and keeps you playing the game for a longer period of time. The most time spent by the developers was definitely in multiplayer; though don't expect many people to play it, as not many bought the game. Overall the multiplayer is what makes this game, and everyone loves multiplayer after they beat the campaign.
