The Evil Within Review

User Rating: 8 | The Evil Within PC

The game is a combination between Resident Evil (playing engine) and Silent Hill (environment), you are playing as a police detective Sebastian Castellanos the protagonist of the game

Whom has been received a police call with other police partners to go to a crime scene at a Beacon Hospital where all the patients, medical staff even the guards were slaughtered in a mystery circumstances, where your horror begins trying to understand what is going on around you “with you”, and what did happened.

The gameplay either been taken as stealth from the crawling term and hiding from been detected, killing from behind (this technique won’t work with some monsters, and it works for the first chapters), or making your way bloody as it should be, there are not a lot of puzzles to solve not from its complexity neither of its number.

You will meet with some bosses whom their fighting sometimes been frustrating

from the weaponry, you will given number of weapons and its upgrades vary from Handgun Revolver to Agony Crossbow (my advice try to upgrade your shotgun and agony crossbow and the fire power+ accuracy of the Handgun)

The story line is good written and left you with a lot of questions in the end, it’s not unique of its kind, and not that extremely” pure horror”, we could say an “action horror”, the other characters in the game will forget about them, they made them just to fill the scene, even your character “Sebastian “ you won’t attach to him that well.

The expansive recommended system were Ubiesoft demand not that necessary, where my Nvidia 580GTX ,win 7 of 64 bit, 8-6 RAM can run it on Ultra setting
