Not True to the Elder Scrolls

Pros
1Great for exploring Tamriel, and especially if you haven't seen all of it!
2Can explore with other people
3Some neat stories/Quests
Cons
1Combat is terrible, there is no option for failure to miss the opponent like previous games. If you didn't shoot an arrow strait in prior games you missed the target, but not in this one. Realism has died with this game.
2Graphics are not any better than Skyrim, and in many cases they are worse. Such as a simple conversation with a NCP is not as fluid or as real as Skyrim.
3Crafting weapons, armor, and other gear is too complex of task (as bad as making money in this game).
4

What is going on with the economy in this game? Prior games at least had a sense of realism when it came to making money and how shops were run within the towns.

I need iron ingots, so I'd assume that a blacksmith would carry them in their shop. If there's a demand (in Tamriel there is a demand!) for a product or service someone will get into that market and supply it!

5

In game books are great, I have a huge assortment in my house in Markarth and Raven Rock (yes I almost always read them), so why can I read books laying on a table or crate in this game?

6

Why can't I be in the Thieves Guild (or not and just do it anyway) and steal from Shops (not like they actually have materials...)?

Summary

If the player of this game has played other Elder Scrolls games you will start to miss the prior games almost immediately, and is very easy to tell the difference. It's almost hard to explain some of it, but that's because I have an expectation of what an Elder Scrolls game is supposed to be and this one falls short in almost every category (noted in the cons group)

One would have thought they would have took a look at successful games of the past (almost all Elder Scrolls games prior were awesome and everyone knows it), and build on that. It should have been better than Skyrim not worse.
