Quite Literally "Genre Defining"

I havent played much of this game, but enough to say this is by far the best RPG I have played in a long, long time. Its just so mindblowingly huge, its amazing in everyway. The tonnes of races, dozens upon dozens of classes, different choices to make, everything you do is up to you. The open ended-ness is what hit me right from the start. Its just so revolutionary. Never before has an RPG been so huge. I think the only comparable game to this would be Oblivion, and that isnt even out yet.
The graphics, for such a huge game, are nothing but near-perfect. While scratchy and appearing somewhat dated, you cant blame the developers, the graphics are still crisp and lovely. Everything is done individually, and resulting in great textures, and awesome resolution. The shading is authentic too.
The gameplay....wow...is all i can say. It sets a new standard in RPGs. So much to do. Theres so many trainable statistics. The system is absolutely nothing short of RPG gaming at its peak. You just look at your stats for the first time, and your like, wow, theres a lot here... To get ultimate satisfaction you need to get all these stats to a reasonable level, and thats as hard enough as it is. Although the battling system gets somewhat repetitive, its still great to play with. All the different armours and weapons makes you killing for more, quite literally. On one account I played as an exiled Dunmer, and went around killing who I could, and stealing what I could. However, these dont come without a consequence, and soon enough you find yourself chased by guards, and you get a bounty on your head, so you get all sorts after you. This is just one of many aspects of the game which makes it all the little more authentic while not going over the top.
The voices are good, too, but could of been better, i thought. The SFX for weapons were good, also. The classic music in the background really gives that medieval kind of sense around everything.
The value for this is astounding, it shouldnt cost much anymore, around $25 tops.
Overall, if you want an immersive RPG that will last you a fair while, go for Morrowind GOTY, its got lots of more content than normal morrowind, and has more places to explore. Its one of those bargain buys, nowadays, so, if you don't own it, and you want a fresh RPG, look for Morrowind GOTYE.
