User Rating: 7.2 | The Da Vinci Code XBOX
The Da Vinci Code is a game based on Dan Brown's best-selling and controversial novel of the same name. For those who have read the book, this game presents an interesting take on the story by putting you in the shoes of the lead character Robert Langdon at points where the book focuses on the other main character Sophie Neveu and vice versa. But it's not really THAT interesting.

The actual gameplay consists mostly of puzzles which is part of what made the book so engaging. Thankfully the answers to said puzzles vary from those in the novel so you're not "spoiling" anything by having read the book, or seen the movie. The gameplay also contains fighting, which is quite a departure from the source material and isn't really that fun. The fights you get into with monks and Louvre security play out like mini-games that are kinda cool at first but get old after seeing them a bunch of f times.

Presentation-wise the game is solid but not overwhelming by any means. The abundant voice acting isn't terrible but definitely could have been better. The Da Vinci Code game is based solely on the book so there are no likenesses from any of the film's actors.

Lastly, for those not familiar with The Da Vinci Code I must say that this game is not the way to first experience the story. Nor is the film for that matter. Read the book. You won't be disappointed,. (Unless you're a Catholic, Christian or hypocrite)
