A review of the award winning Wii shooter The Conduit.

User Rating: 7 | The Conduit WII
You may play through the Conduit the first time and be amazed. A good shooter? On the Wii? Finally! High Voltage Software had really maximized the graphics capacity of the Wii system and did an okay job on an internet matchmaking system. But looking back on my time with the Conduit I realize that HVS could have done a MUCH better job. The levels: bland, the enemies: dumb, the story/dialogue: cliche. Even the online became old as it succumbed to hackers and glitches and Nintendo's infamous friend code system. The campaign was you running from one bland corridor to the next shooting bland enemies with bad AI. The only good part of this game were the controls. Fully customizable and very natural that is one thing HVS got right I have to say that while it was bland and not very good, it WAS a taste of what the Wii can do in the right hands. With Conduit 2 coming up in November and looking good, we can only hope that HVS learned from their mistakes in The Conduit and will make an FPS that will do for Wii owners what COD did for PS3 360 owners.
