Edgy, Like a Dull Butter Knife!

User Rating: 6 | The Club PC
Graphics:
- Graphically, the presentation is on par to what is shown in Kane and Lynch, it looks good, nothing fantastic but, it does get the job done.

- Frame rates, are very stable at high resolution, and at the available high quality settings.

- The environment is pretty claustrophobic in some battle conditions, but this ties in well for the number of adversaries you seem to meet at one time.

Audio / Sound:
- This was a major point of contention that seemed to bother me; nothing really came out and really brought out the environment in a whole new level.

- The gunfire, explosions, and voices were on par, what seemed to be the limitation was that the ambient audio didn't change from one area to another. Being in an enclosed location really didn't change the sound of the gunfire to that of being in the open.

Game Play:
*Single Player:
- The single player campaign is a straight-forward affair with multiple game modes, ultimately acclimates you more, and more to the theme(s) of play.

- The title also offers a kill combo scoring strategy, meaning you are scored for how, when, where, and fast you subsequently remove your targets from the proverbial gene pool. Some modes require that you improve upon this ability to make it through certain levels.

- In the story you are tasked to play as one of six, two more are unlocked as you go further along, each character has its own back story, international area they hail from, and their own styles of play, one character may be faster while the other may be a tank, or balanced.

- The story itself isn't going to win awards, in fact you can pretty much just ignore the story, and it is quite stale in that aspect, the story is nothing but gladiatorial type combat.

*Multiplayer:
- This is the suffering point of the game, even though the net code is pretty stable, and I have had zero connectivity issues. The game just has nothing new to bring. Therefore, the number of players available at the time of this writing is pretty low.

- The Live matchmaking service is offered in this title, and gives the user the opportunity to make achievements, and join in ranked matches, but that is if you can find more than just a handful of people playing sporadically.

- The negative standard is the number of players able to play at once; you can only have 8-people! With many other titles out on PC offering vastly superior numbers, the only nice thing I can think of that would be positive is that your matches would take place on a very intimate level.

Additional Thoughts:
- In my opinion it would be best not to purchase this title immediately, really wait until this hits the bargain bin. I am not saying this title is bad, but I was just not enthused with my experience, and the title in almost every way did not improve on anything or bring anything new to the gamer.

- This title also has another unique issue, and can be technical, and quite irresponsible of SEGA to allow this oversight to happen. Most of the titles released never came with the CD Keys they were supposed to be released with. You can easily get a CD Key from SEGA, and the game's website, but I just recently learned that this trend of irresponsibility would later translate into other later released titles like Iron Man for PC.
