Wow! How epic is this! So epic I can't describe it! Oh, wait, this isn't gamemaker, this is 3D gamemaker.

Well, this game really could've been better. I think it would've been better if you could actually do more things yourself. My version is the version released by Focus, a couple of years after the original. On the back of the box, mine has a "Funky features" section, with 12 features you could supposedly do with this game. lets see how many are true:

*"Instant & amazing results in seconds": well, I guess there exaggerating, so T.

*Random game option: T.

*Create a variety of exciting game scenarios with over 360 pre-made scenes: I'm too lazy to find out how many scenes there were, but there's not much variety in gameplay, so F.

*Over 500 3d objects: T(?)

*Over 320 sounds: T

*Mp3 music support: T.

*add personalised sound efects: T. One of only 3 customisable things in the entire game.

*utilise or scan your own images: T. the second of 3 customisable things in the game.

*Import your own 3D models: This is not the 3rd customisable thing I'm on about. I suppose you can add your own 3D models, but you can only do it by doing it the hard way, which most under 11's can't do anyway. F.

*Save the games as .exe files: T.

*Swap games via disk or the net: T, but can't you do that with any game you make on any program?

*Place enemies, objects & items where you want with the placement editor: a big fat F the size of 10000000000000 empire state buildings.

The 3rd customisable thing in the game is the ability to make your own levels, but even this is very basic, seeing that the rooms will always have the same structure of walls, floor and a ceilling. what's worse, you can't even give these textures an alpha channel, so you can't even make the walls/ceilling/floor transparent.

In my opinion you oughtn't to bother with the 12+ pegi rating. It ought to be a 12-.

So here's my score:

Graphics: 1/5 (C'mon, Trainz UTC was made ages before this but the graphics were good on that game)

Navigation: 5/5 (this is the only thing I can compliment in the game unfortunately)

Gameplay: 2/5

Music & Sound: 3/5

Entertainment: 3/5

14/25

Overall: 5.6/10 (That's being quite generous really.)
