One of the best games ever

Easy to learn but hard to master, no game (in my opinion) has ever formed this balance so effortlessly. Two decades on and developers are spending years creating games which strive to be as good as this, insulting the brand with spinoffs in 'colour' or 'High Definition', and generally trying to improve upon something which can in no way be improved.

Everything about this game is memorable, from the simple intro screen and music, to the super satisfying sound of eliminating 5 levels of bricks at once!

I got this game when i was five years old and find it just as much fun to play now as I did seventeen years ago, when i used to have to wait for hours to get it back from my dad trying to reach level 120!
It may seem as if Nintendo is only just beginning to appeal to all ages with the family-friendly Wii and DS, when infact it has been doing since the release of Tetris on the Gameboy.

If you haven't played this game, you are missing out on gaming gold. Grab yourself a GameBoy, a copy of the original 1989 Tetris and see what all the fuss is about.
