Mr. Fist

User Rating: 10 | Test Drive: Eve of Destruction PS2
I've been playing this game for 4 years. Hear that? 4 years. Playing and replaying over and over again. This game refuses to get old. With solid driving controls, a catchy soundtrack, great damage models, and a revolutionary modification-paint system it really allows you to customize your car to your hearts content. No static tattoo models here, you literally get to paint on whatever you want, albiet this is only in single player career mode.

This one really draws you in. Your desire to earn more money to perform more upgrades and buy new vehicles is pervasive. Soon you will want a stable of cars for different purposes, heavy vehicles for demolotion derbys, fast cars for no rules races, but just when you think winning is everything you realize its not... in fact it's not even desirable. You can earn SO much more by being destructive. Bonuses for damage to other vehicles far outweighs winning from being #1. You will find yourself driven to cause greater and greater mayhem and paint your car with greater and greater ego. By the time the career mode ends you can't wait to start over.

What my purpose is in writing a review for a 4 year old game lies in the future; please Atari... update this title. Release it for 360 and PS3 and make a ranked online multiplayer. In that enviornment, this game would truly shine.
