The story is about the clan of the Azuma ninjas when under the authority of master Shiun-Sai. Back then, they were three apprentices, Rikimaru, Ayame and Tatsumaru, the senior apprentice.
However war was looming on the land of Japan, and nobody seemed to know where the threats were coming from; worried of this matter master Shiun-Sai sent his three apprentices to put light to the mystery.
There will be vengeance, loyalty, betrayal and love; those ingredients are what makes Tenchu 2 stands out from the previous releases.
The game's mechanic is pretty much the same as Stealth Assassins, but now with more style and less useless movement after a stealth kill.
There's less items, but some are pretty as useful as innovative in the series, such as invisibility. There's another thing, the ability to swim, now not only can you swim but also can hide underwater using a bamboo stem.
Frankly, I don't see any reason why someone wouldn't love this game, unless you're not into the stealth-action game, but if you are, DO NOT HESITATE, you won't regret the ride.
