*****REVIEW*****

Tekken 4's story revolves around who will win the next Iron Fist Tournament? That's about it really (did you expect anything more?).

There is a host of character to play and dominate with from old classic characters, to new characters, and each of them have there own story.

Kazuya Mishima: wants Heihachi Mishima (His father) dead.

Heihachi Mishima: wants Kazuya Mishima (His son) dead.

Jin Kazama: wants nothing to do with Kazuya Mishima (His father) and Heihachi Mishima (His grandfather).

Steve Fox: looking for his parents to find out the story behind the scar on his arm.

Craig Marduk: was set free from jail after killing someone in a bar brawl by an anonymous benefactor.

Christie Monteiro: looking for Eddie Gordo.

Paul Phoenix: want to be the true champion.

Marshall Law: want to get back what he lost.

Ling Xiaoyu: want to meet Jin Kazama in the Tournament.

King: is out to kill the man who killed his foster father, Armour King.

Hwoarang: want to fight Jin Kazama in the Tournament.

Yoshimitsu: wants to defeat Heihachi Mishima for the greater good of humanity.

The game-play is pretty solid that consists of you chaining up combos and other cool tricks, much like previous Tekken games, but can feel a bit slower compared to Tekken 3. You have the arcade mode, time attack, and survival mode where you'll constantly fight tougher computer opponents. You have versus mode to show off your skills, or get your ass kicked by a friend, training and practice mode to practice out your skills in becoming a true fighter. So there's plenty to do to keep you entertained for a while.

The sound-effect are decent like other Tekken games. Voice acting on the other hand is quite disappointing but who cares, it's Tekken.

The visuals are great with great details on all the characters and the backgrounds. In game cut scene can be quite poor with some cheesy facial animations and poor voice acting but again… who cares, it's Tekken.

Overall: Tekken 4 is a great fun game. Some of the characters back stories are quite crap and cheesy, poor voice acting and in game cut scene, but voice acting and cut scene are not what make up "Tekken", it's the game-play and generally just beating the crap out of someone, which Tekken 4 does really good.
