Ahhhhhhhhh total shell shock! I would rather play the original arcade or snes version.

User Rating: 3.5 | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled PS3
TMNT: Reshelled is a horrible remake of the original. This game is just selling the name. After playing the game I slowly lost interest in it. I only bought the game to play it with one of my best friends online.

I love the TMNT arcade games of the past. The older games were everything TMNT: Reshelled is not.

The story isn't really deep at all. Your objective is to simply return the statue of liberty to its rightful place and defeat shredder.

Ubisoft made a bad choice in terms of graphics. The 3D graphics isn't terrible, however the look just doesn't feel right to me. The 3D models could have been way more detailed. Ubisoft should have sticked with 2D graphics. Ubisoft could have used 2D graphics and updated the look. For example, the look of Capcom's game known as Street Fighter HD Remix gave an old game a fresh new look.

I usually don't discuss sound, however I have to make an exception for this game. The sound is horrible. Here is why.

The voices of our heroes come from the cartoon series; however the characters use the same old lines from the original arcade. BORING! Why not flip the script a little. Hearing the same old lines over and over will get annoying after a while.

The sound when strikes connect isn't good at all. I hate to touch the pizza power spin attack power up, because it sounds like you are hitting one hundred boxes when you hit enemies.

And why and the heck does foot soldiers scream when they die. Foot soldiers are robots for crying out loud!

This game has a horrible music score. The music wasn't catchy or close to the original game. When creating an entirely new score one should make sure the music has quality and fits the theme of the stage.

Ubisoft was better off doing one of the two things:

1. Use the same music from the original.
2. Have the talented members of the Ocremix Video Game Music Community make some tracks for them.

The gameplay is straight vanilla. I guess that doesn't really matter since it is a classic, however I felt the gameplay of the original had a faster pace. The boss battles are also dull in this game.

The only plus to this game is the 4 player online coop. Playing with others is great, but the game will quickly get boring after a while.

Final Thoughts:
My friend and I only spent 15 to 20 minutes on this game. We didn't even play it again. Ubisoft took an amazing classic and turned it into a boring nightmare.

I would rather pay 20 dollars for the original arcade or snes version of Turtles in Time instead of this uninspired piece of rubbish.

I give this game a 3.5 out of 10. I would have gave this game an even worse score if 4 player online coop was not present.
