A complete waste of time that isn't worth the trouble.

This game came out right on the high point of the original cartoon, and it seemed like a good money-maker. However, no game can compare with TMNT's overall horrible-ness. It's a platformer-action game, which the NES was practically saturated with at the time. It's also a very difficult game, and anyone who has reached the interior of the Technodrome can agree with that. On top of that, though, the graphics are pretty bad, with occasional spots where the sprites get completely garbled. Nothing special sound-wise either - all run-of-the-mill stuff that seems to fit in. The ending is also completely anti-climactic - once you fight tooth-and-nail through Shredder's domain and defeat the guy, all you get are a few lines of text and that's it. Nothing special at all. This game seemed to set an example for every other TMNT game, and that ain't a good thing at all. If you see this game anywhere for sale, don't bother picking it up, because chances are the person selling it just wants to get rid of it.
