I thought it would've been better

This game was developed by a co-creator of some Mortal Kombat games, and actually thought the game would be as good as them, but of course, i was wrong. Now onto the review.

The backdrop of this game is that there are two talismens that each side is fighting for, a light and dark side in a sense. There goal is to beat the other side's fighter and take a piece of their talisman to put it together and form it together in order to rule over the other side..something like that anyway.

The Good: Character models and levels were done nicely, along with the sharp sounds and graphics. Destructible environments such as statues, pillars, etc. also added to the "depth" of the game. A cool feature added was the ability to break and opponent's arm, leg, back, etc. and immobolize that part of their body, which was a cool concept( also cuts and bruises were added). Finally, as a final touch there was a special attack for each character.

The Bad: Voice work is lame, the story isn't really good, it just feels tacked on if you think about it. The fight system isn't anything new from and other fighting game that you might've played before this one. Almost no unlockables except some secret characters. The special move isn't really that special, it's just there to try to add to the spice that isn't there.

Final Word: A rental at best, even most fanatics of fighting games won't get into the story or fighting. Nothing really to special, but it's there if you want a weekend game to play with some friends.
