Fun for awhile but not quite there.

I'm pretty disappointed with the game as it pretty much reminds me of some dungeon crawler (valhalla knights anyone?) with no waypoints and plenty of mundane quests. However, this game includes a few feature that is worth to play.

The crafting system, battle system, job system and voice over is pretty cool. The only downside to the job system is that your stats and level changes according to the job. So if you're a stats whore, you would be sticking to one job. The best thing is that there is no exact penalty for dying. You simply teleport back to town and have to walk all the way back to wherever you need to go. How I wished there is some kind of waypoints due to the increasingly long and complicated dungeon that you might get lost even though there is a mini map in the screen. Alot of the extra quests are pretty lame. Heard of the quest where you need to deliver a cake to some guy in a dungeon? Pretty lame isn't it? Imagine you're in the dungeon full of monsters and you're waiting there for a cake delivery so that you can have your lunch. Defeating monster quest is pretty stupid too, where you have to slay common and easy monsters. The entire quest thing makes me think that the developer run out of idea to cook up some good quest.

Overall, this game is fun but doesn't last that long for appeal. It's only recommended for people who love the tale series and doing quest.
