If you're a fan of the Tales series, then this game is a must have.

User Rating: 10 | Tales of Symphonia GC
Story: The story is just fantastic, lots of plot twists here and there. Most of the time, you didn't expect them at all. The story may not make much sense at first, but it is explained slowly, but greatly throughout the game.

Gameplay: So many things to talk about, so little time. First off, the combat, it is not complicated, it is very easy to pick up and play. Unison attacks are fun to experiment with as well, they can also help you build up massive combos. You unlock new moves throughout the game as well which also helps keeping combat from getting old. The dungeons mostly have you doing puzzles, block puzzles. They are clever, and actually make you think. You can't breeze threw the puzzles without paying attention, and i like that. You have the over-world map which is how you get from area to area, and if you explore you can find some items to help you along your journey. Boss fights are usually challenging, probably the most fun part of the game, you always look forward to boss fights when you're doing a dungeon or watching a cutscene. There is multiplayer, it's great when you have another friend with you.

Characters: They all have great personalities and have their purpose in the game. They are memorable, no questions asked. Some characters have connections with other characters from the past or depending on your decisions during the game.

Music: Eh, not memorable but still great to listen to now and then.

Graphics: If you like cel-shaded games, then you'll love Tales of Symphonia's graphics, but the over-world isn't to great looking.

Replay value: Amazing, i have played threw this game 9 times and i'm still playing it to this day. First time when you beat the game then play it a 2nd time, you realized you missed so many side quests and secret bosses. The game has a good number of side quests which can give you costumes for your character or tell you more about the story, plenty of optional bosses aswell. I've played this game for maybe 300 hours or more and i still haven't had enough. And at the end of the game, you can pass over some stuff from the previous data to the newer one, like moves, titles, and money.

Final Thoughts: If you are a Tales fan and own a Wii or Game Cube, you have no excuse for not owning this game. It's the best in the series for me and many other people. It gets almost everything right, this game is near perfect.
