Just buy and try this game, you will not be disappointed if you are a true gamer! Yes, I agree the graphics are like 1990's, but the game play and database tracking is phenominal!

The game play is best described as a combination of Master of Orion 2 and the battles an RTS like Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. All bullets, plasma, missiles, lasers, particle beams, photon torpedoes, and ship hulls are individually tracked and shot by the AI. After a few moments, you forget the 1990's graphics and see & feel your childhood fantasy of commanding an armada of starships fighting with aliens in deep space.

Gotta love it! :-)

I bought the game of of Steam and it downloaded fine. I highly recommend Steam for all your PC game purchases as it is a 100% online store and done right and successfully!

Get all the expansion packs for Sword of the Stars, each one is worth it.
