Major issues and heavily recycled content ruin a potentially great game.

First off, If your a SAO fan, or anime fan looking for some fun and considering SOA: Lost Song, I highly recommend renting or buying at a heavily reduced price, this game just doesn't warrant a $60 price tag due to the myriad of issues which is a shame since it could have been an exceptional game especially for players who love dungeon crawlers and people who easily obsess trying to max out stats, or find the very best gear.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song is very loosely based on the original SAO, the game now is based on a entirely different VRMMO, not that it really matters. The story is far too weak and forgettable so you'll not really care about it, the biggest problems which really ruin the gameplay are really poor controls, heavily recycled content, awful lock-on system, no ability to zoom in/out and terribly blocking system.

For some reason, the developer decided not to give the player anyway to zoom in/out the camera, which is a huge problem since the default zoom is way too close and as such, it makes it nearly impossible to block monster attacks simply because you can only see whats really directly in-front of your character, this makes for some frustrating combat sequences which can easily glitch out or make you get stuck on enemies.

The VN sequences are good, and the graphics are passable but with so much recycled content, monsters are just recolored, there are perhaps 3? maybe 4? Okay 5? different bosses in the game, each boss having multiple different recolors.
