FPS fans: This is an example of true intensity.

This is easily the greatest shooter ever made. I would say that this is more of a simulation however, due to its realism.

Basically you are the squad leader of a 5 person squad team, and are placed into various missions such as hostage situations, robberies, and serial killers. It is incredibly strategic since you will have to give commands to your team while looking out for them and yourself. If you like going gung ho with shooters, unless you are very lucky you won't go far. You have to be quiet and precise in most cases. Lockpicking doors as opposed to blowing them up, using a mirror to see if there are any enemies around, and using a footpad to lock doors that you have already went to, so no enemies will get you from behind.

This game is incredibly challenging. You and your squad can die so easily, and this is what makes the game VERY intense. You are going through a room one by one, checking for enemies at all times, which keeps you on your feet. If you encounter a room full of enemies, it is preferred for them not to be killed which helps with the intensity. It is usually done by the team throwing a flash or smoke grenade, and then constantly shouting at them, causing panic. Just going in guns blazing will cause you die very quickly, and you will even be penalized for it if you happen to survive.

I can see one level near the end being a flaw since you pretty much have to kill everyone in the level, and they are incredibly proficient to the point that it almost becomes frustrating. But, if you want to play a different sort of shooter which will keep your heart racing the whole time, you will love this.
