The online play makes this easily the best street fighter home console game to date.

Let me start by saying street fighter is my favorite fighting game of all time. I spent countless hours in college playing it with my friends. Super Street fighter II world warriors was an absolute classic on the Sega Genesis.

I have been dissapointed (to say the least) in the online play of home console version. Until now.

Lets start with the basics:

Graphics are gorgeous. Beautifully updated.

Gameplay is incredible. Spot on. Timing of everything feels just right.

Mix of characters is perfect. Not too little and not too much. The familiar styles of fighters are nice to have.

The online play is what makes this game truly special. Ranked games are OK, but there is a player mode (unranked I'm guessing) where you can be a spectator. It great. You watch the opponents play, learn their styles and wait your turn to play. Just like in the arcades. Except here you get a perfect view of the action. No lag online. Impressive as timing is everything in a fighting games.

If you enjoyed street fighter in the arcades and you are able to go online, then this game is for you.

The only knock I have is that single player against the computer is too tough. Maybe its because I am not very good, but I can not beat the game on anymode but easy and very easy. The infinite continues is helpful/needed. I probably need more practice.

Hope SF IV is able to keep pace with this.
