Great opponents, great graphics, great music, and just challenging enough! What more could anyone ask for?

User Rating: 10 | Super Punch-Out!! SNES
This should not be labeled as a sports game, because sports games are nowhere near as fun as this game! While the original "Punch-Out" was fine for its time, this version did its NES predecessor better in every sense of the word! Four challenging ranks, 16 challenging fighters, and players must beat them all! It starts off easy enough with beginner fighter Gabby Joe, but then the fighters start to use techniques and have different patterns and weaknesses that must be exploited in order to beat them! Bear Hugger must be punched only in the face, Piston Hurricane must be knocked out before he begins his punching frenzy, Bald Bull must be uppercuted in the stomach while he's doing his bull run, dodge then duck Dragon Chan's kicks, avoid Masked Wrestler's spits, Aran Ryan must be knocked out before he begins his punching frenzy, duck then dodge Heikie Karo's hair, dodge Mad Clown's juggling balls and punch him only in the face, memorize Mr. Macho Man's exercise programs, try to hit Prince Narcissus in the face, dodge right then dodge left to avoid Hoy Korow's wooden staff, don't let either Nick or Rick Bruiser wound Little Mac's fighting hands, and duck Rick Bruiser's brutal finishing move (although for a talented player such as myself, Rick can actually be knocked out while he's trying to jump down with his landing blow, but that trick is not for the faint of heart.) Finally, the best part of this game is that the ending changes depending on how many times Little Mac won or lost his matches. If he lost some matches and won some matches, it's a regular ending, if he won 50 matches and lost 50 matches, the ending is given a golden touch and the opponents are shown getting beaten up in black and white; if he wins all 16 matches and loses zero matches, the opponents are shown getting beat up in color, and the ending is shown in color to! This is a fun game that's fun to play even after its beaten once. I played it and beat it multiple times, and its an experience I'd like to enjoy again someday on the Nintendo Wii. That's my review and I'm sticking to it! Enough said! ;)
