Knock Out

User Rating: 10 | Super Punch-Out!! SNES
"Punch Out" has always been one of my favorate games and one on one fighters and this follow up doesn't disapoint.

Everything in this game is about the same but that's a good thing as the old saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it, just a few minor diffences. The controls are solid one new and very helpful feature is the S bar when you deliver enough damage it fills up which will give you an unlimited ablity to deliver uppercuts, hooks or like Kenshiro from the anime/manga "Fist of the North Star" rapid fire jab punches all to do greater damage. Music and sound very good I just love the sound whenever you deliver punches it really fees like your doing series damage.

, pacing I felt is a little faster, but the most impressive are the graphic animations of the characters and their expressions. All of the new cartoon like characters and old one (with some new tricks) always have the best expressionism from deliver attacks, arrogance, but best of all pain which I find funny and gratifing knowing it's not me as their human punching bag but I'm delivering the rightful pain they deserve. And different persona depending on their ablilites as well as looks. And of course each of the opponents are intimidating looks some of them are taller or as big as Godzilla, they look almost unstoppable at first, but just like in David and Golaith the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Each always has an attack pattern and if you can lock onto that pattern knowing the right time to dodge and hit then you can beat each opponent without any problems or even getting touched at all, so it's easy if you know how. And trust me it's a great feeling once you knocked out your opponents, just the sheer knowlege that you took down someone bigger than yourself with just simple tactics and stratagy and not so much mussle and power is just gratifying.

Super Punch Out is a Knock Out.
