A game worthy of being remembered for years to come

User Rating: 9.6 | Super Monkey Ball 2 GC
Super Monkey Ball was a hit success of the arcade port, Monkey Ball. After it being ported to the GameCube, many people loved the game, but there were a few that hated it. Those that loved it either became good at it or were addicted to it, and for those that hated, well, they're just complaining how they're not good at it.

The games have been added to a mega-collection version of the two, and it was released for the PS2 and Xbox. While Super Monkey Ball Deluxe did a horrible job and recollecting at what Super Monkey Ball really meant, it still had all of the levels that were in the first two. On the other hand, all GameCube got was a package of the two games together, but not Deluxe.

Gameplay - You send a monkey in a ball around a platform, trying to send it into a goal. What makes this unique is that you move the platform, not the monkey! Very neat, indeed.

There is also a Story Mode added to the game for beginners getting used to the difficulty. You are given infinite lives and are allowed to take as long as you want to complete the Story Mode. Once that is finished, then you can replay them on Challenge Mode, a mode where you play those very same levels with a limited amount of lives.

Graphics - The application of steam, water imprinting, and world exploration are very awesome-looking and give the game that extra boost while playing.

Sound - The SFX are very fitting and the music is very nice. Techno is very good for this game, and there are other pieces to this game as well. Each world has a song that distincts it from all the other worlds and creates the feeling of uniqueness and creativity.

Value - Many can find this to be very difficult, but as long as you choose Baby, it's fine. Playing by moving the platform has never been this fun!

Reviewer's Tilt - I love this game! I have over three hours of replays saved to a VHS, and I watch them often. The levels are more fun than those on the other games in the series, but it's not the best of all of them. Still a very good game, though.
