A Stunning Classic!
Graphics are great for their time, and even in today's day and age i was still impressed, the interface is easy to work, you got your Map laid out to show you areas in which you have explored and areas where you haven't (if you find a Map download device for that specific area that is) and your also have the Samus equipment screen where you can equip and un-equip certain cannon upgrades and suits, bottom line is its very user friendly. while i did experience a few framerate drops particularly when you set off a power bomb, its not something to get annoyed over at all, the rest of the game holds up real smooth.
The Soundtrack in this game is great, it really sets the eerie mood for exploring caves or going down corridors etc... while there isn't too many songs in the soundtrack library, the few that are there are very well done.
The game can be completed in as little as 2-3 hours if your a pro (unlike me who beat it in 8hrs and 88% item completion =/) and if you get 100% your rewarded with Samus taking off her suit (good reason to get 100% right?) anyway Super Metroid is a fantastic and revolutionary game that any fan of the Metroid series should play.
