Best Yoshi game around and a must play for retro lovers.
So, a couple of years back, I'm looking into buying older games and see the great reviews this game got, so I bought this in GBA, since I have the Gameboy player for Gamecube.
Yoshi's Island (Super Mario World 2) is a completely different game than Super Mario World. You have baby Mario to take care of, you shoot Yoshi eggs for enemies. Graphics, gameplay, controls are top notch.
The only real complaint I have is on one sound effect: when Yoshi jumps and makes that "H..H..H..HHHHHHOOOUUUUWWW" sound at the top of his jumps (it get's a bit annoying).
Other than that, this is an awesome game, has great level designs, love the graphics in the game, and I found it to be more challenging than the first Mario World game.
My rating for this game: 9 out of 10. If it wasn't for that sound effect that annoys me, I'd give it 9.5 (you eventually do get used to it). A must own for collectors and players alike. If you haven't played it, do so, it's worth it.
