Enchanting Game. Unmatchable Memories

User Rating: 10 | Super Mario Bros. 3 NES
Before I reached the age of 10, I used to wake up at 4am with my friends after going to bed at midnight (eyes bloodshot from playing the game), just so we could beat this game once again. Extremely fast paced and just a hell of a lot of fun. Childhood memories of games are always the best, and this one in particular because it was so good.

Going straight through the game wasn't all easy. Levels 6-7 were tough, though 8 was a breeze. And the 'flutes' that would transport you to foreign levels was great, you'd go straight to bowzer's land, or stick around in the ice level.

And in the sub-mission on level 8 where you had to get across that long boat as the screen scrolled, you could just keep pressing a while you swam underneath the bottomside of the boat, and someone would make you laugh or you'd have an itch and you'd die because you weren't banging away at the A button. hah

What a classic, an extremely well put together game, especially for that time period and the limits they had with the system. Mario 3 was what propelled 'Mario' into the next decade.
