Super Mario Bros. 3 is a classic!!! It was one of the first games I every played and it holds sentimental value to my childhood memories. It came out in North America the year I was born 1990. I was just a kid when I played it, like about 6 or 7 years old I still get a kick out of it today and I'm an adult!!! This 2D side-scroller is a significant upgrade from SMB 1 & 2. SMB3 takes you on a journey where Mario must save the princess from Bowser once again but with heavy layerz of difficulty. The 3rd installment graces us with sleek polished graphics in the most crisp of pixel animation. The music impresses, the game features amazing sound effects as well. This game pretty much is the most important game on Nintendo Entertainment System since it came directly from the developers of Nintendo in the first place. The plumber is back as the mascot with new enemies introduced, including the ghost Boo. Mario's ability to pick up turtle shells, various blocks and various enemies makes the game that much more versatile. You're also blessed with many power ups such as The Hammer Suit, the Leaf which transforms Mario into a Raccoon to fly, a Frog Suit, a green Boot, a Tanooki suit, a Invincibility Star, and his vintage Mushroom & Fire Flower powerups. Activating a P switch allows blocks to turn into coins. You've got a variety of levels in each world including a battleship at the end of each world before facing the sub-boss. The mini-games are also rewarding; you can visit mushroom houses and pick out a random upgrade gift, try your hand at a slot game where you have to match the pictures together in order to receive 1Ups, or play a card game where you match 2 cards and win those powerups. Super Mario Bros. 3's game dynamic was added as a feature to the Super Mario Maker installments so players can create their own levels as well!!! This game is enjoyable among many generations!!! The Super Mario franchise saved the video game industry, and their franchise is the most important video game of all video games. Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best Super Mario, in my opinion one of the greatest games of all time!!! Highly recommend you take a trip down nostalgia lane!!!
